CLASSES & WORKSHOPS at The INNER SPIRAL STUDIO

Community and reciprocity are all very important to me so I have decided to co-create a studio space called "THE INNER SPIRAL STUDIO with Jenny Horsman photographer & educator.

CLASSES will be offerred for adults and children - (length of class will be dependant on age of students, though you can expect a 3 hour class for adults and usually 1.5 - 2 hours for children).

Adult classes are $350.00 for an 8 class cycle.

SESSION A - Tuesday morning / 9:30 - 12:30 (8 wk SESSION)

SESSION B - Tuesday evenings / 6:30-9:30 (8 wk SESSION)

SESSION C - Sunday afternoon / 9:30-12:30 (8 wk SESSION)

SESSION D - AFTER SCHOOL - dates to be arranged

Dates are subject to change, depending on enrollment. If yo have a preferred day of the week, please let me know and I'll see if we can arrange classess on that day of the week.

Life is meant to be flexible.

Deposit of $100 reserves spot.
Space is limited so as to give you lots of personalized attention.

This is where I make my pots!  It is also where I hold classes for adults and children which continue for 8 weeks at a time and Creative Women's Workshops that are full 1 day sessions and weekend sessions.  These will be held only a few times a year,  so if you have interest in these workshops, please >drop me a note 

From time to time I will have friends and other artists come in and hold workshops in a variet of art disciplines, from pottery, to mask making, to batik, to beading, to paper mache, to... get the picture?
These workshops will not be product focussed, but process focussed.

It will be a chance for women who have lots of arts experience and women with no arts experience to get together on the same playing field and just explore, talk, laugh, share some good food ( both for belly and for thought).  Perhaps these workshops can be thought of as CREATIVE CONFIDENCE WORKSHOPS.  We'll use paper mache, in one room and collaging in another room, paint and pottery still, in another room, beading and wirework in yet another space. We'll consider use of fabrics and found objects, things that you thought you should just throw out, will be cut smashed, glued, drilled, etc. etc. We will even have time for singing and some movement. The songs will not have words, as this is a reminder of not letting anything confine us on this day.

This is a workshop or a playday, where your unique story will have the space and time to unfold.

We will close our eyes and begin the journey of Intuitive Abstract Painting - Intuitive painting means portraying what you feel without over-thinking, where absolutely no artistic experience is nescessary, in fact, you'd be surprised how that can get in the way of really getting to the heart of letting go.  We'll experiment with brushes, steel wool, sponges... Here you are given permission to do what you want to do.  And if you don't know what that is, there will be lots of helpful suggestions and guidence along the way.

At the Creative Womens Workshops, there are no mistakes!!!!

During the day, you will have the option to journal, and reflect on one's inner self while nourishing your soul.

These workshops are empowering and exhillerating and an oportunity for self expression - AND... a damn good time! There area also durmming, and vocal workshops. These are great for loosending up all the tight bits you carry around with you every day - and do we efver make some great noise - And somes beautiful music as well. Check out some of my music
