On Line Gallery of images of Pottery. This series or design is called "TULIPS".
I was fortunate to travel to Holland several years ago and while on the rural streets heading for Amsterdam, there was this remarkable, unbelievable, sea of ( or actually field of) Tulips. Every colour you can imagine. Rows upon rows upon rows. They were in bloom. The colour palette was extraordinary against the bright blue sky. There were cyclist riding with tulips in their bicycle baskets, and people walking with tulips in thier wooden market baskets.
The images are as clear today in my mind as they were more than 15 years ago when I saw this landscape.
This is my interpretation of the bright vibrant strong and proud stemmed tulips of yellow, red, purple, etc. etc. in and out of baskets, against the bright horizon.
